Still under construction: my family's experience of World War II

Jim Cornwell Cornwells, July 1938 SAJ Cornwell

Stanley Arthur James 'Jim' Cornwell
Jim Cornwell was my uncle, the second son of my grandmother
Winifred Ellen Reynolds, and my mother's brother. Born in 1924, he enrolled in the Royal Navy in 1942 and was injured on board HMS Warspite. He died of his injuries in 1944 in Ely, and is buried in Little Thetford cemetery, where he is also remembered on the parish war memorial.
