  Charezier
Saint-Sorlin

Charezier is a small but busy agricultural village between Doucier and Pont de Poitte. The village square is very picturesque, but more because of the fountain than the church. To sit on the edge of the square in the late afternoon watching brown cows jostle each other around it as they head home for milking is a pleasant thing to do.

The church is simple, modern, and locked. And yet the parish includes two churches of great interest, one at Lieffenan a mile or so away, and the other one the hermitage lost in the woods on the slopes of Mount Saint-Sorlin.

Saint-Sorlin, Charézier, is in the village square just off the D27 between Doucier and Clairvaux.
