Pleasantly situated church between Sudbury and Castle Hedingham, with a handsome red brick tower. It is best known as the home parish of the Oates family, explorers extraordinaire, the most famous of whom was Captain Oates who was immortalised as a great English hero after walking into a snow storm to help ensure the survival of the rest of Captain Scott's Antarctic expedition.
